I know some people who bought things REAL cheap after WWII, I would love to pay them double or even tripple what they paid in 1940's money for those things..

at around 3:08 that "loose" baton ring was a flashlight ring.

I dont think the round thigns were for the batons.. I think it used for the police officers flashflight i have a cop that lives next door and ive seen him have that holding his flash light or it could be used for both
