  • @puna5476 Hi there. Sorry, but I really don't know where you can get this on sheet music. I figured it out by ear but I live in hope that someone out there can give us a bit more info on this track. It is in F Major, by the way, if that helps.

  • Hi Candelise, I share you love of this piece of music. I used to play the piano..would love to get the music sheet for it.. is it available?

  • These were the credits for the first "Rumpole of the Bailey" play as aired on BBC in 1975 and later expanded as a series on ITV. The play was a little more serious in emphasis than the series, and Rumpole comes over as a rather sad character, though there is still humour and one feels affection for him.

  • I ALWAYS loved this theme as a kid and I love playing it on the piano now. I wonder if there ever was a longer version and who on earth wrote it because it's a killer thirty seconds of TV theme!

  • i really miss a good play these days, there are to many reality programs on tv now

  • many years ago l had the misfortune to work on an episode of play for today with brian glover, hans von cluger and bernard breslow(who is a much better actor than the carry on films would suggest.) we "free formed" most of the morning but glover couldnt find his mojo.we filmed again later that day after he (glover) had played the slot machines at the central amusement arcade.he was much more relaxed and did his parts in one take!..many people dont know he wore a built up shoe even when wrestleing

  • All they do now is bloody costume dramas. Nothing cutting edge anymore.

  • I was a fan of PFT many moons ago. Great music too..anyone know where to get piano score for it? Also the fifth clip looks very familiar to me but cannot for life of me recall the title.

  • gotta love this.

  • Love this theme tune.. thanks for posting.
