  • Hey man, I have a 27inch iMac and this widescreen tweak does work HOWEVER the game doesn't run in full screen. Like the top and right corner is black. It runs but in a smaller mode.. It's WS but stil.. Not fullsreen :( I was thinking that the resolution I set was wrong, but I tried 2560x1440, 1024x640, 1280x1024 and nothing seems to work. It's Widescreen but still not in fullscreen :( Do you have any ideas?

  • have you tried doing 1920x 1080?

remember that the imac 27 uses a 16:9 ratio display not 16:10 ratio so you need to put 16:9 ratios like 1920x1080 to get the full screen.

Carbon doesn't support higher than 1920x1200 res as far as I know.

  • Thanx a lot man, I don't have a MAC but this video helped me with the Windows part, now I can run my NFS Carbon on 1280x800

    Cheerz!

  • lol this tute was ment to help out people with the Mac version of Carbon lol, o well killed to birst with one stone I guess hehe.

    No worries Mate!!

  • link doesn't go to that blog!

  • what about in windows?

  • doesn' t work in windows 7 what can i do???

  • @RaymondElMaid I would think so yes, just the executable needs to be patched.

  • But now I have to wait till I get home to enjoy it, oh phooey...

  • My solution. Get the universal res changer from widescreen gaming forums (UniWS.exe), copy the nfsc.exe from your mac directory into your bootcamp partition, then boot up with Parallels/VMware, patch the executable in your virtualized windoze, copy the modified .exe back to mac partition and replace the origional.. run game, set resolution to 640*480, and blam!!!

also, Just did this patch from work via VNC.... no compy reboot required!

  • can i just get the nfsc.exe of 7.2MB over to a pc instead of moving the whole heavy folder ?? ive only got a 2gb usb here

  • The link doesn't works anymore, Can you update it? Thanks

  • cant do it =[

  • @pkerry12 Yes I have tried that.. The prob is it's still not fullscreen.. like its aligned to the bottom & left.. top and right is black.. So IT IS Widescreen but still not fullscreen.. Oh well.. I guess the game doesn't support high resol, or idk..
