  • @kashlineboy Fact of the Day- Did you know that Margaret, or Maddie, Knight, is known as Lady Edison. A guy tried to steal her improved paper bag machine, went to court, and said that Maddie could not do anything (at this time women were thought to be housewives). But she pwned him by showing him her sketches, like a true scientist.

  • @TheNewVideos Arrogant Edison actually had a group of gangsters beat up the poor inventor the night Swan could even patent it.

  • lol,historic pwned

  • ehh...wut?

  • Fact of the day - Thomas Edison did NOT invent the light bowl. Get your facts right.

It was first invented by Joseph Wilson Swan in 1878, 2 years before arrogant Edison.

  • wow. very interesting!

  • Neon gas only lights up orange unless a penning mixture is added to it such as argon or xenon.

The energy saving ones have mercury vapour gas & phoshorus.

The Phosphorus convert the UV blue light emitted from the mercury vapour gas into visible white light

  • Yep he invented the incandescent light bulb in 1872 by using a carbon filament wire as thin as your hair placing it in a vacuum bulb & running an electric currant throw the wire making it glow white hot unfortunately incandescent lighting is coming to an end now where the use of compact fluorescent lamp are becoming more popular by creating more light & less heat running an electric currant throw mercury vapour is more economical than heating up a metallic filament
