Tokio Hotel use playback when organizers require this. So here they didn't have choise ;) But I think he didn't have to say "thank you" in the end because his voice was then totally different. He was after voice mutation.

Maybe it was a playback because Bill was sick and couldnt sing, but he just didnt want to dissapoint everybody. :) And he didnt because i saw several girls in the crowd crying and i know that if i had been there, i would have been crying too. <3
