Probably the only "good" thing the Gremlins did: that woman was evil...okay maybe not evil, but I doubt anyone other than (maybe) her cats will miss the old battle-axe.

Ah, good riddins. That bitch was so mean to Billy and his dog, not to mention the residents of the town. :p

She is very similar to Miss Gulch from Wizard of Oz - her dislike of dogs, the threat to have Billy's dog put down, the fact she has a cat. The feet sticking out seems to be another nod to Wizard of Oz - it reminds me of the witch of the East's feet.
