  • If you show qualifying rounds for FREE instead of subscriptions, maybe you shall have more PBA fans interested in the drama...man,you grow up,and stop whining, the PBA has to go international, because that's the way bowling goes, not only in America...and the more you promote cheaply, the more people you'll get active...and with that unsatisfied comment you might throw the little bowling fans there are away from the sport...

  • Why is kettle calling the pot black? You talk about not taking away and adding to the sport but then you dump all over a group of bowling fans who are very into bowling balls and dynamics. You talk about bowling not changing in the last 50 years but bowling balls have changed tremendously. This is one of the new changes in bowling acknowledge it this is part of the problem you insult fans you don't understand or even recognize as bowling fans because they don't share your same narrow focus.

  • Video is better in mute

  • Bowling has gotten very expensive. It is no longer a fun and inexpensive way to spend a night out. Many centers only feature open bowling before 5:30 p.m., then leagues bowl the rest of the evening. The only way to bowl is to join a league. In today's economy, this is a luxury that many cannot afford.

  • great rant! jr bowling is dying, no one under 30 dare i say 40 gives a damn about bowling any more.

  • Mike j ...cry me a river ...nothing u do helps the pba ...I think u are a complete waste of payroll

  • Why doesn't Jeff Mark work for the PBA anymore? Are the rumors being discussed on the message boards true?

  • You know, I typically think Mike J is a complete doufus, but this was a pretty good rant. He's dead on about Rash and the ball v. video thing. If bowling is going to recover as a sport, we have to find a way to get aspiring bowlers more interested in the athletes that function as role models than in the bowling balls.

  • @kegler Great point! I couldn't agree more. This is a huge problem in the sport of bowling & has been for quite some time. I too can't point to anything specific as to why its like that but, it most certainly is. I'd love to see the sport grow in popularity. I'm just not sure how we do that collectively as a sport. Especially when many people don't view bowling as a sport. (Which I strongly disagree with)

  • This sound like a last stand to anyone else? Doesn't seem like the PBA will be around for much longer.

  • @JasonKornRealEstate That goes not only for PBA but also USBC, Recently went to our State Jamboree, and learned that 62% of first time league bowlers do not come back the 2nd year. Now that's not a very good average, Not sure what needs to be done to improve this number but the more league bowlers, the more support base you have for the PBA.. Have enjoyed bowling with and against PBA Pro Ronnie "Country Boy" Russell The last couple of years and have met several other members at regionals.

  • The thing is that the PBA can only go international by xtraframe...most of you don't realize the countries over seas don't get the channels we have here and if they the event will broadcast 6 months after the fact and the only way xtraframe can grow as aa new different idea is to have subscribers right now to further it's future. not to say that it will be that way forever once it does go bigger internationally and can gain the sponsorship of those expansive areas. Close minded let me tell ya..
