Three MPs have been arrested for allegedly engaging in hate speech. Roads assistant minister Wilfred Machage, Mount Elgon MP Fred Kapondi and Cherengany MP Joshua Kutuny had presented themselves to the police at parliament buildings before they were detained. They are now at CID headquarters. Early on Tuesday morning, Higher Education minister William Ruto presented himself before the National Cohesion Commission to defend himself over allegations of perpetuating hate speech. Rashid Ronald reports.

@yesuwangu Thanks for you good thoughts.Ruto is not a suspect of violence, it only happened in Rvalley. It kept happening when one person called press conference and talked and none than ODM leader.Ocampo before judging anybody will find out cause violence and it simple A won and B refused to concede defeat. period. No video clip on Ruto calling mass action.Second there is no way Ruto can be in the same camp with PM whilst not cooking in the same pot.Kindly refer to reinstatement of PSs 4answer

I don't know why people brand Ruto a bad man, especially those in ODM and when 2007 was a good man. We have leaders in the Yes camp who have said "Yes" for the first time in their political career, why cant Kenyans give ruto and others a chance as they have done to the later.Watch that space; Ruto will be a very important person to his opponents after referendum. The really contest will be in parliament. Remember "wiper"

I highly condemn the MPs of hate speech; but my concerned is that why the Kibunja commission is selective. There is a church leader in Kisumu who has refused to administered holly communal to those without IDs to vote for Yes.If the PM goes to Pokoto and says that the NOs are those who have grabbed land, which category is this utterance?
