This is my new truck i just got. It is a 1988 Chevrolet 2500 Single Cab Pickup.

It has a 5.0L V8 305 Small Block Gas Engine.
Stock EVERYTHING. The only thing that is not stock is the glass pack. But there is an exhaust leak at the y pipe joint. So for now it is just dropping right off at the joint.

It was about 15 Degrees out, had to give it a pump or two while cranking it.

If I see Comments from jackass's, they will be deleted. This is not a flaming forum. I don't want to here shit about which company is better. I prefer Ford And Chevy More than dodge. But, yet i still have a dodge vehicle that i drive. I said I P-R-E-F-E-R not They are the best. So for any dumbass's that don't read this your comment will be deleted.

Oh And I paid $950 For the Truck. 150,xxx Miles on it. 2 wheel drive.

  • Does the 305 do well pulling fairly large trailers (6000 lbs)?

  • I'm gunna say its gunna depend on your transmission as well, not just the 305. Mine isn't the best for pulling, 3 speed transmission no overdrive not too much pulling power. Also depends on the truck, if its a 3/4 ton frame or bigger you could, and if you have enough leaf springs in the back. my truck can pull our smallest sailboat which is a 8000lb 26fter, but she squats like you would not believe.

  • I see black nothing

  • It was at night and you do see the dash twards the end.

  • Thanks

  • -Continued-he had it until he worked on a ford truck and it burnt to the ground and he had to give him his chevy to keep from getin a lawsuite slapped on him so the guy gave it to his son and the son wrecked it he said it had a blow out but all tires were and are intact but its along way from road ready now moldy interior and bent frame in the front from supposed blow out I want it so bad right now because I'm turning 16 and want a project and I want my memories back ill get that truck somehow

  • wow song and exhaust brought back memories of my dads 88 reg. cab short bed 4x4 burgandy inside and out flowmaster single in dual out and ported and polished heads he also had 4 6x9s and 2 12 in subs in the back along with a 1000 watt amp

  • Wow, That is very nice of him! This is a scottsdale by the way.

  • (continued)

Also, my uncle (who died in '94) owned a jet black '88 Cheyenne 1500 Regular Cab, my favorite truck of all. But I know who the owner of that truck is & is willing to give it back to the family when he can't use it anymore (& I mean give, not sell!).

  • My dad had an '89 Silverado 1500 Extended Cab & loved it. Unfortunately he had to trade it in (along with my mom's '88 Astro) in '95 b/c they both got very poor gas mileage & needed something more economical and useful for everyday driving, school shuttling & for vacations (a '95 Volvo 850 station wagon which I hated!). I was only 6 years old when the truck & van were traded in.

My dad passed away in '06, & I wish I could find that truck again.
