Japanese Pokémon D/P Darkrai Glitch

Fastest known way to get to Darkrai. Step Guide created by me from other people's guides. This only works in some of the japanese version of the games.

in words:
-Get a Pokémon and teach it to SURF and put it on your party
-You *may* want to find Abra/Kadabra with Synchronize Ability and right Nature (Timid, Modet, etc.) because in DP it's 50% chance to find Pokémon with same nature when this Pokémon is first in your party
-Clone Master Balls with the Ditto trick in 2vs2 battle if you want to cath Darkrai more easily
-You should leave least one empty slot on your party in case you want to check Darkrais IVs ASAP

-Go to the 1st Elite 4 members room
-Use the Surf on the door and after that press down once to get on solid ground
-RESET YOUR STEP COUNTER
-Go 129 steps on EAST/RIGHT (you can use your bike after 24 steps)
-Now continue going SOUTH/DOWN until your Step Counter shows total of 385 steps
-Go to your pack and use "Explorer Kit"
-After getting to the Underground, leave from there
-Now you're on glichy land, walk one step up and the map changes
-Darkrai is now 7 steps away of you
-To leave the island you must use the boat which is nearby

PS: Those routes has worked on my and my friends games dozens of times. Getting stuck on somewhere will be your own fault. Be sure to follow the guide.

Like the description says, it only works in some of the Japanese versions. It was found, patched, and fixed for later games.

ahh... the Elite 4 glitch... in the german Version it was pacthed :( ... and i don't want to go to an PKM event..^^ so i tweak it^^

It works. I just tried it again on my old imported Japanese Pearl. I once tried it on my US Diamond, it almost fucked my game, so it obviously doesn't work in D/P versions that aren't of the first batch of JP D/P's released.

@sprinklesaurus Nintendo has a tendency of re-distributing stuff. Be patient and wait? No one likes it when you battle with the legendaries, and they're not required to "complete" the Pokedex, so who really cares anyway?

@aprilmandy Maybe because the only way to get Darkrai without cheating is by having the event-only item that gets you to his island. If you missed the event, this is the only way for you to catch it in your own game, whether you consider yourself a cheater or not

@T0nu It should theoretically work in the US versions with a Walk Through Walls code. I tried this on my American Platinum with my set item being the Map and found myself on Fullmoon Island. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't work in a mystery zone, so you can have either assurance, or a chance to either get a legendary or destroy your game.

I have a japanese pokemon pearl and I just found out that this works on my game. This is awesome, I'll have to do it on my japanese diamond when I complete the game. This is a good easy way to get Darkrai without a cheating device. The way you do in it the English game is a bit more complicated though, I havent yet been able to enter the void in my english game, becareful thouh if you do it wrong it'll screw up your game
