When Billy did a Television appearance my mother went into ecstasy and all movement stopped. She would sigh and smile. She had a big crush on him in a time and country where it was actually frowned upon... but not in our home. I learned to love the music of her generation through my mother 19 years older than me. I thanked her for it before she died a few years ago. This music feeds my soul. Thank you ....I hope some young people will discover what true talent and brilliance is here.

In my opinion this is definitely THE BEST interpretation of this beautiful song. Not many voices like Billy Eckstein's today, alas... Diction was also perfect at that time we did not need the written lyrics to understand what was being sung...
