Thanks for your reply. I think it is easier for us in the UK, as religious fundamentalism is not strong here, and our brand of believers is more accepting of alternative lifestyles. But there is still room for progress on this issue. We just need toleration and acceptance on both sides, but I do realise how difficult it is for those who have been indoctrinated in early life to revisit their beliefs.

Accepting myself as a transgender woman allowed me to renew my faith in Christ. I agree with this video, too. Stop using the Bible as a weapon against the GLBT community.

I'm wondering what scriptures you think are missing? If you are referring to 1 John 5:8, that was a 10th century interpolation.

Stephan, if the Holy Spirit came into your heart you would never, ever say that Jesus condones homosexuality, just like He doesn't condone adultery, lieing, stealing, fornication, etc.
