Investigated ratcheting with a Doepfer MAQ16/3. Something which seems easy with a Synthesizers.com Q960 sequencer. Found out that it can be done on a Doepfer MAQ16/3 but it is not as flexible as with an Q960 setup.
nice trick, never use this but that will change you also could archive the effect with lengthen and shorten row 3 I think? btw I have now 3 maq 16/3,s:-)
It is not so easy to do it right. I think I did this video 5 times before getting it right. The problem is switching the events from 't4.' to 't.4.' because they are 3 ticks on the dial apart. And the switching has to be done on the first 3 steps. I think it is easier to switch programs. You could also try to shorten and lenghten row 3 but I don't know if this remains consistant with row 1. Also this trick only works with the CV and gate outputs; not with the MIDI output. Collecting MAQ's? ;-)
