Images of the isle of La Palma, one of the tropical Canary Islands, Spain. Aka 'The Green Island'. Hard to believe this is one of the Canary Islands. Whereas Tenerife, Forte Ventura and Gran Canaria are loaded with mass tourism and at the coastal areas have sandy beaches & even barren regions this vulcanic rock in the Atlantic is all covered with vegetation. Madonna even wrote a song about this green island. (La isla bonita). The clip shows the small rockcaves where the first inhabitants of the isle in prehistoric times used to live in. It's not allowed to go there as it is very dangerous to climb the steep rockwalls that lead towards them. At the end of the clip are a few short impressions of the 'ramblas' of the capital: St. Cruz de la Palma'. Nothing going on. Where have I seen that before? Los Llanos, the 2nd 'big city', of the isle on the westside used to be the capital but because St. Cruz de la Palma had a seaport they changed it. Los Llanos has more to offer, like good restaurants, bars, and so on and so on...Even pubs where local, big bellied handsome Chubbears meet and have a good time with their mates.
Breathtaking!
