This sensitive, caring, British 'take' on the whole "FAME" genre, was conceived by the legendary BBC director/producer Marilyn Fox. Never willing to 'sell-out', the honesty of the storylines was to capture a whole generation of viewers in the mid-1990s. Truly the story of a 'stage school', which, as well as academic subjects, taught it's show-biz mad students street dance, drama, music, ballet, recording theory, audition technique... - whilst passionate about the personal development of its individual students. Just like real life...? There were three series, totalling 25 episodes - all the songs and lyrics were by Michael Omer, who was to go on and produce a number 5 chart hit for the BBC's "ER" style hospital drama "CASUALTY" and score the EMMY Award winning "LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY"
