Samuel 16:7 "But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart."

  • haha, ok that's my rant and what I have learned :)

    God bless <3

  • "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," (1 Cor. 6:19-20).

  • "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:27). If you do not love your body you do not love God because our body is His temple, do not defile it by listening to the lies of the devil. The devil is the father of lies, he cannot tell the truth, so why listen to him?!

  • He's the on you want to please since He's the most perfect being in exsistence and He thinks you are perfectly made. "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (Pslam 139:14)

By being obssesed with yourself you're making it an idol. You become trapped and imprisoned when God wants to make you free. You sinned. If you do not love how you look you do not love God. Why? Because God said we were made in His image!

  • By not loving how you look is telling God He made a mistake when making you. You're telling the creator of all things that you don't like the way you look? God created you just the way he wanted you to look like! By worrying so much about yourself you're taking God off the throne and putting yourself on it by always thinking "me, me, me."

Who are you trying to please? The world? Boys? Girls? What about God.

  • I love this :)

I've had some problems with how I look.. even though I'm considered "average" I still want to be that pretty thin girl in the magazines... but those are not real people. They're fake. No one is perfect, so why are we trying to be something that doesn't exsist in this world?

"Why am I trying TO BE perfect for the WORLD when I'm ALREADY perfect for GOD?"

The devil puts these lies in our head about how we look to distract us from the one who made us.
