I heard today that a former, asshole boss got fired. Initially saddened by this, I realized he brought it on himself.

You talk to much. You could have summed up what you had to say in about 3 minutes instead of 8. You strike me as the type of guy that if you ask him "how is it going?" you take 1/2 hour to answer the question. But I still think you are a good guy. And I agree, Bob sounds like a real jerk.

Could not have said it any better myself.. We need to ask ourself why or what in the universe lets these self-rightous ass's become management..there lies the mystery..A co-worker of mine was standing with another manager after he was extremely rude to an employee and had asked him "why do you talk to them like that"..,his reponse "is that i can"..

Wow, my heart goes out to you. I'm sorry for what you had to go through. Sad thing is, there are SO many bosses like that (far too many). I have had my fair share of bosses like that. Well, my philosophy in life is this "God will take care of people like that." They will get what they deserve, eventually. Hope you are doing better!
