Liza Donnelly speaking about being a cartoonist, specifically a woman cartoonist.

LIza Donnelly and 5 other women cartoonists had come to Paris from North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East to attend the conference of Rencontres Internationales du Dessin de Press (RIDEP)--basically an international meeting of press cartoonists--and to be honored by them. The village of Carquefou and Amnesty International sponsor the event.

Imagine that: laughing for change. RIDEP and another organization called Cartooning for Peace (of which Ms. Donnelly is a member) that was started by noted French cartoonist Plantu promote this evolved notion. There are other cartooning groups in France as well.
