The myth that capitalism works conveniently ignores reality. In this video, political scientist and activist Michael Parenti debunks this popular myth.

  • @BigWilly360 I think you have been watching too much FOX News. Try reading "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn. & here are a few names that you might want to research. Thomas Paine Harriet Tubman Frederick Douglas Mark Twain Susan B. Anthony Mother Jones Big Bill Haywood Eugene Victor Debs Elizabeth Gurley Flynn Elizabeth Cady Stanton Jeanette Rankin Rosa Parks Paul Robeson Harry Bridges Walter Reuther Martin Luther King
  • @BigWilly360 This is why the 3rd World is so corrupt. The traditionally oppressive European counties along with America, Canada and a few other global superpowers force the 3rd world into buying overpriced unnecessary goods while exploiting huge portions of their natural resources causing them to become poorer countries. That's why the rich countries get richer and the poor countries get poorer. That's the problem with world trade which is a fundamental part of capitalism.

  • @BigWilly360 Obviously, your mind is in a very confused state, Michael Parenti mentioned more countries other than India and China including America, and how the hell is Africa socialist, you dumbass, some countries such as Angola and Albania have a socialist history but that doesn't make the whole continent corrupt or socialist (even though both terms do not relate to eachother).

  • "Almost the entire world is capitalist, and almost the entire world is poor"

My goodness. No wonder we shouldn't have political scientists debating economic issues.

India and China, together, comprise a good third of the world's population. They were anything but capitalist until very, very recently, and China not at all (they are closer to mercantilist, look it up). Africa is almost totally socialist or corrupt, with exceptions in Botswana and Mauritius, both of which are THRIVING.

  • has anyone ever seen that 'hyeraicical' (damn, that's a hard word to get pat) management structure picture with the parrots pooing from the pyramidical perch?

  • Right...I'm sure you meant to respond to my comment by somehow arguing that my stated views are that of a communist or socialist.

  • @pgh1212 Why should I?? As I was saying, I am sharing my wisdom here, evern with you :-)

  • @joaquinveyron You better go check who you responded to, because you are one confused little man.

  • @pgh1212 Dimwit, I did not respond to your silly comment, but did it like commies: I shared my endless and divine wisdom. got it??
