  • god you should seriously be broadcasted on food network. You innovate just enough so that you don't ruin the essence of tradition. AND you don't stick with lame ingredients and quick shortcuts. All for the sake of good food! You are a rarity these days, keep up the good work

  • Thanks! I try to be the anti-foodTV chef. Thats why I only show the food and not my face. Please visit the site, and tell all your friends about it. Enjoy!

  • great recipe, love it, but come on!!! you're not gonna lose weight eating short ribs!

  • yes, you'll be so happy, you wont over-eat other foods! :)

  • @foodwishes lol don't stress it chef john i just saw on that girls youtube profile b68851 the one trying to give YOU healthy food advice and critiquing your food... works at mcdonalds and is merly a teenager! roflmao

  • Mmm..unusual, but it looks delicious

  • chocolate and beef? O_o

  • @foodwishes haha chef john you are so awesome!

  • Hi,

I love the way you present your vids. I would like to know what camera and recording/editing system you use. The way you show the work area and not bounce allover the place is perfect. Do you record voice at the time you make the dish or dub it in later?

So many questions and so little time.

I look forward to hearing from you or send me to someone else that I can ask questions to?

    Eddie

  • @foodwishes i think b68851 is very confused about fats... personally i dont really care about gaining weight when it comes to cooking. ribs stil have fats in them after being slow cooked... and skimming the rendered fats off the top generally improves the mouth feel and looks of the sauce

  • Actually it seems that most of the chocolate's cocoa butter came up to the surface. I'm not sure... I'm guessing... Have you tried the recipe with simple cocoa powder? Just to see how much fat comes up to the surface.
