is the back of the neck painted?

hows this guitar good for plying stuff like iron maiden and mettalica? is there another dean guitar that would be better suited?
-
@musicpower I understand now how you used the expression loosely. But why would anyone install such great and also expensive picks in such a cheaply crafted guitar. The cost of the EMG's and paying a guitar luthier to install them will cost more than the guitar its self.

@MannyBlue65 Putting EMG's in a guitar requires changing the Pots out(for 25k's) and soldering in the new pickups, unless you use their solderless design. This is what was meant by throwing in the pickups. It's a very loose term. This sort of modification is quite common, and most able-bodied techs can do it for a nominal fee. It would greatly enhance the tone of this guitar, in our opinion, for the style of music mentioned.

@musicpower You just can't throw EMG pickups into any PRS guitar. You have to get the guitar rewired because all PRS guitars come with passive pickups except for the PRS SE Torero which is already loaded with an EMG-81 pickup in the bridge position and the EMG-85 in the neck position. Also you can't compare this cheap Dean Deceiver guitar which sells right now for $269 and the PRS SE Torero which sell for $1000.

@osalbaro The Deceiver X features Dean DMT Designed Pickups
does it have it place to put a whammy/ tremelo bar?
sorry if that sounds wrong i'm still a beginner with electrics.

@PuNksNoTDEad561 This specific model is fixed bridge(no whammy bar), but they do make a Deceiver with a Floyd Rose bridge, which is what you are looking for. Check it out on our website!

hey, my band and I preform at small gigs around town, usually doing hardcore, post hard core, and emo style music, is this guitar good for preforming music styles like that?

@xXstitchworkerSixxXx This guitar is definitely aimed towards heavier styles of music, so I think it would work perfectly for you.
