Eve only came into being from the "rib" if you believe Genesis 2. Genesis 1 contradicts Genesis 2 completely. I find it ironic when conservative Christians say gay people will never feel oneness with another person. Well, if gay people do as conservatives suggest and marry a person of the opposite sex just to fit into society then the homophobes are right, gay people will never experience oneness with another person.
