God bless you Emanual. I just happened on this footage and seeing your concern and holding off saved Oliveras life there's lots of guys who would have unloaded in that situation and to the doctor who allowed the fight to continue Fuck you!!!

Great work by Smoger, and what a fucking class act Augustus is. No head punches, letting Ray punch him in the face but still refusing to return the favour.

I like how Augustus only went to the body when after the head holding incident. That was classy. He knew something was wrong and didnt want to hurt oliveira.

i remember reading about it that it was pinched nerve or something? i'm pretty sure it was nothing too serious. obviously painful enough at the time though.

Emanuel Augustus is a class act. Once he saw that Olivera was hurt like that, he wouldn't throw another head shot. He even let Olivera pile up on him and pound away in the corner. Ray Olivera was one of my favorites back in the 90's. I think he got a pinched nerve in his neck in this fight. Emanuel Augustus is a true champion in my book.
