I like your idea of keeping the chucks in front of you and not doing all the flashy moves. Great job!! But I wouldnt be completely close minded to backswitching them between arms they DO have their uses and kabuto kata uses such techniques as well.

Would you recommend prochux or woodalls nunchaku?

@joe848484 - Woodalls is good if you want to spend $60-$80 on a set. Try ninecirclesUK. They have White Oak corded that are great, it's strong wood and they're quality. Prochux are good but they are so thin at the tops that if you make contact with anything the tops will break easily and you can't use them for arm bars or choking. Blocking with Prochux also presents the great possibility of breaking the thin wood.
