Note that for the last fuse, the fast burning fuse, I attached a small piece of tissue paper to the top so that I had a second to move my hand back :)

what would be the best fuse for shells?

It depends on the effect you want. Falling leaf is a good replacement for stars, but you can use flying fish or crackling fuse that will shoot around all over the place if you want.

this is an old video but as of 2012 cannonfuse[]com's flying fish fuse sucks, dont buy it. green and red, not sure about the other colors, all from same manufacturer I believe in China.

the last is crazy,lol.if you have a last bomb with 12 cm of this fuse attached and you really need it in war.which do you do?you die or light it(light it maybe causing death too!)lol..... :)
