What a waste of money. One of the dirtiest planes built and Boeing made big bucks out of others misery. Pity the money wasnt spent on the American people who paid their taxes. imagine free health care for all, instead of all those lives lost in Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos etc. Boeing and others look forward to the next war. All that money spent in Viet Nam made no difference to the outcome in the long run, but lots of service men and women from many countries lost their lives. What a waste of power.

Watching these H models brings back old memories. Although not a true MITO launch getting 15 birds in the air in 9 minutes from engine start is very impressive. We use to do 12 second MITO but never more than 3 Buffs at a time followed by 3 tankers.

Been watching these since I was a young pup in the early 70s. We used to do 6-ship MITOs frequently. They have to be careful where they rotate in relation to the previous plane because of the vortex turbulence they create when they rotate. Next ship has to either go past the previous point or rotate earlier. I often saw them with severe wing-waggle due to the turbulence; one almost touched first left then right wingtip on the runway but he got it off. Prob had soiled flightsuits that crew!

@scoutxlt Yes it does make me proud! Especially being from North Dakota!

Love this dino. Never realized why they haven't replaced the engines with less smoky, and more efficient turbofans.

WOW.... if that doesn't make you PROUD to be an American, and even more proud of our Men & Women in Uniform, you have no right to call yourself an American.... Brings back memories of when the BUFF was stationed at Rome NY.... back in the day!

Учебные тревоги?
Brings back old memories. used to stand at taxi way and wave goodbye to 52 crews including my father in 65-67 when leaving Guam on way to Vietnam for their missions.

When I see these, It makes me feel like I'm watching a bunch of fire breathing dragons from olden times. These things stood off the russians for many years. A Very deadly old weapon sytem they are. Kudos to the crews that fly and maintain these. I found it hard to keep a forty year old car going strong. Can't imagine a 50 year old 8 engine heavy bomber. Hope they still fly when our kids grow up.
