Well, I suppose one could put it like that. I see that you're a sailor yourself and your boat is built after a completely different fashion than mine; No need to argue then since we both know what we're talking about. Times and fashions change, but a truly beautiful boat stays a beautiful boat, no matter how fast.
Cruiser/racers have a high speedpotential, faster then their length. My Beneteau first goes up to 15+ knots.
The flat hullshape and the wide back of the yacht make it possible. Racers can even go up to 35+ knots. This Hanze is more of a cruiser. The hull shape doesn.t allow high speeds like that. The amount of cruiser/ravers is limited. There are; X-yachts, J-boats, Grand Soleil, Beneteau first, Swan 42, and a few others. The rest are cruisers. So in a way it's still the old days.
You can't generalize like that these days, most manufacturers build boats that were developed by a multitude of construction bureaus and those work for a variety of manufacturers. In the old days it was different, a Westerly was a Westerly and an X-Yacht was an X-Yacht, but these days nearly everybody wants to build cruiser-racers. The speed potential is limited by the laws of physics and not by the name of the company.
of course it´s nice....but hanse yachts are not very fast....the one which won the baltic race was modified for reaching....and it works....e.g. x-yachts are faster and even no racer, only cruiser/racer like hanse....

So what do you know? What I said is the simple truth, if you can prove me wrong please do come up with facts.

Sorry, but you don't know anything about fast sailing. This is the dumbest comment I've ever read!!!!

Not a very bright comment.
