Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2009: Rally Stage Compilation

Compilation video of footage taken by myself at various locations around the Goodwood Forest Rally Stage during the 2009 Festival Of Speed. As ever the soundtrack has been left untouched as no music can better the soundtrack provided by some of these classic cars.

I dont think the video came out quite as well as last years; partially due to the quality of my videoing and partially due to the fact there seemed to be less of a selection of cars on the stage. Still, I hope the video is at least viewable.

Footage includes (in no particular order); Audi Sport quattro, Citroen C4 WRC, Fiat 131 Abarth, an assortment of Ford Escorts (of course!), Ford Focus WRC, Hyundai Accent WRC, Lancia Fulvia HF, Lancia Stratos, MG Metro 6R4, Nissan 240RS, Nissan Sunny GTI, Peugeot 207 S2000, Porsche 911 SCRS, Subaru Impreza WRC (1995), Subaru Impreza Group N (2009) and Triumph 2.5PI.

Top marks to Sebastian Loeb for being the fastest car round the stage all weekend. I suspect that Jesse James may have been faster in his Trophy Truck; but no one could see through the dust and debris after he passed through!

@tbtstt hey man, you are wrong, this Porsche not is 911, but is 959, built for 1989 Rally Paris Dakar... thats ok?

@SrMatheusFsv The Porsche at 0:52? Thats a 911 SCRS, not a 959. The 911 SCRS was used earlier in the 80's.

The most obvious difference between the 911 and the 959 is the rear spoiler, pause the video at 0:54 and you can see its just a regular 911 shape.

@tbtstt smart move!! i may just take that into consideration! did you hear about goodwood adding a date? due to the closure of some motorshow, goodwood are holding an extra date for manufacturers to show off their new product!

Yeah, you're better off hitting the rally stage earlier in the weekend as you tend to find a lot of the classic cars are only run for a day or two.

I tend to start the days at the top of the hill, then move down the hill throughout the day - that way you pass all the crowds going the other way!
