@C0mm3n i put a cone filter on my 1.4 8v purely for the noise as my bro had one on his 1.8 focus and surprisingly it is actually faster with the cone filter also sounds 100% better over standard ;)

People keep talking about how it decreases power, and all that bollox...

But 90% of people who fit an induction kit (air filter), do it solely for the noise

80% of people who fit an induction kit (air filter), fit it to a 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.6 litre car, so in essense, it doesnt really matter about the performance increase or decrease, BECAUSE it will be very minor either way.

So stop talking shit over the internet about how much you know about cars and performance, ur opinion is not required!

What you have is NOT a filter! It is cotton dipped in oil, which is different to a filter. A paper element is a filter, has a surface area of 10 times that thing and allows 10 times less dirt through. For more power, put the original filter housing and paper element back. Try it on a rolling road if you like, you have been conned by clever marketing and advertising. The only thing relating to performance is how you have decreased it and slowed your car down!!! Put it in the nearest bin.

you can tell wat size engine it is, if its a higher, less purier noise, its obviously a smaller engine... usualy easy to tell up to 1.4 i find. also, just look at the pissin engine! thats got a small cyclinder head, so its a small engine,
