Lost Odyssey Ice Magic Beast - Boss / Disc 3

Lost Odyssey Disc 3, Boss 3, Ice Magic Beast. To start, you'll want to have a warm vest for everyone but Ming. For Ming, she should have the "Anti-Freeze" ability. I recommend having leveled up to nearly the area's cap as it will be a great help. This fight is a doozy....

What to do:

1) DO NOT attack the boss with magic attacks, as they will be reflected back towards you.

2) Mack will be your primary attacker and most likely only damage dealer. Equip him with the best equipment you have to support his ATK power. Use Powerus on him to boost his attack, and use his Combo skill.

3) Jansen, Ming and Cooke should be healing and casting All-Barricade to defend from the boss' magical attacks.
*OPTIONAL: All-Shield isn't required and won't be that big of a help but if you're characters are still low leveled with low health, then I suggest you do.

This battle should actually only takes about 5 minutes, it just took me longer because i forgot to equip Cooke with a warm vest and I was healing unnecessarily sometimes. This boss isn't too tough, he's much easier than the battle against Living Ice. If you follow these steps then you should have no problem.

I hate that about most RPGs. All the characters you don't use end up staying low level and then it comes back to haunt you when you have to use them for some reason.

I saved over my previous save back at the ref camp and I have no warm vest... the only save before the one outside of where the boss is.... is on disk 2. T_T (didn't think I would need to go back.. is it possible to travel back on foot?)

My Mack is at a higher level than yours and yet he does less damage even with rings that up his power and critical hit why is this?

i just found where you can get warm vest. it =s in the storage tent in the refugge camp 7th one down under acc.

sorry its like 2 yrs later but u can use the power drink or wat ever its called...
