Little fan's Olympic obsession -- 07 August 2008

If there was a competition for the most committed Olympics fan in China, one little girl would be a strong contender.

She tells Al Jazeera about her obsession with the cuddly and colourful games mascots called Fuwa and how they have won her some fame.

This is her one-in-a-billion story.

Children are not obsessive as default. Obsession is a mental condition that results from psychological trauma. Commitment and enthusiasm are not pathological. Obsession is an illness, which makes a person irrational, addicted and destructive about his hobby.
