If there was a competition for the most committed Olympics fan in China, one little girl would be a strong contender.

She tells Al Jazeera about her obsession with the cuddly and colourful games mascots called Fuwa and how they have won her some fame.

This is her one-in-a-billion story.

  • Children are the same the world over. What a pity their parent's and grandparent's generations have to go and stuff things up, with politics, and wars, and debt, etc.

  • There is a difference between education and wisdom.

  • you know, mengwise36, all the reporters in the big media channels seems to be very poorly educated.

  • There is a difference between obsession and excitement.

  • Children are not obsessive as default. Obsession is a mental condition that results from psychological trauma. Commitment and enthusiasm are not pathological. Obsession is an illness, which makes a person irrational, addicted and destructive about his hobby.

  • HEY!!! I painted on a wall in my new flat once in Italy and the flat manager saw it once and kicked me out and I was homeless after that!
