Even though Nadal won this match and he played a phenomenal game to do it, I feel Roger let himself down by not playing a more "grasscourt" game. He has the tools to do it unlike Nadal but he insisted on getting into these rally's with Nadal, who is the superior baseliner. Federer can volley and serve-volley but he hardly did it and I think that's what he needed to beat Nadal. The previous final could have gone to Nadal also and Roger did not change his approach in 2008.
It seems to me that Federer doesn't really insists playing with his drive more often (Federes drive is stronger then his rever) & to do so he should try more play Nadal to his rever and not Federers rever contra to Nadal drive!!When he really does it he has much more possibilities to win but if i am not mistaken seems to be over confident to his rever that even if is amazing isn't so strong and Nadal takes advantage since he is left handed to play his drive to Federers rever..if u agree thumbsup
Golden Slam??? I just know the Superslam, its very hard to win! All Grandslam Tournaments in a Year and the olympic Gold-Medal in the same year!!! I think, just Steffi Graf managed that in 1988, its very very difficult, you need luck, too......
when he faces Roger in the Semi-final I think Roger will win. well if both make to Semi-final. Roger will win. but i wouldnt be suprised if a Roddick beats Djoko in quarters or a Veradasco or a Cilic.
so a potetional Murray vs Fed. Final and it depends on if Murray stops the Grand Slam choking jinx he has.
Really if Nadal injury is as severe as it says I think Mardy Fish or Jo-Wilfred Tsonga or David Ferrer can push on to the semi-finals.
I think Andy Murray will win Aussie Open or Roger Federer will Aussie Open.
and I think Andy Roddick might sneak into Semi-finals.
and I mostly say this due to the article I read. with the seedings Murray usually runs into Nadal and for some reason he chokes not in other tournaments but Grand Slams. with the Injury it might give Murray the edge to push through to a third consecutive Aussie Open Final.
today i read an article about how nadal has to take a lengthy time off after Aussies due to a shoulder problem. with that kinda of problem pre-predicted it can make you wonder if nadal might pull out of Aussies sooner to not aggravtae the problem in time for the olympics.
i think its gonna be a good Aussie Open for a lot of people cause Andy Roddick is coming back to form. Andy Murray is peaking. Roger is rejuvented and Bernard Tomic is emerging.
@bijoy1983 30-year-old player now. now of Nadal and Djokovic is a peak. When Roger or Pete are at the age of a peak. They won some GS and won the also in ATP finals. Therefore they have 5, 6 champions
I know that the play style of Nadal or Djokovic is physical. But. slow grass and hard now. These are too advantageous to the play style of Nadal or Djokovic. In fast grass and hard. Two players of defense never continue in the final. Nadal should thanks. in the slow present surface
@bijoy1983 lol ur reasoning for rafa owning roger is pathetic. u base if on surfaces and whose beaten who haha. No mate, its about who's won the most grand slams, so what if rafa beat roger at wimbolden. has he won it as many times as roger has ;) ? no. Ultimately roger will always be the greatest. Yes everyone no1 falls one day, u say rafa took roger over ? could rafa stay up there for 5 years straight ? LOL yeah ;) keep up kid

Djoko is losing form after that year.
