  • I went back about 2 years ago. The clerk told me that one morning went they came in for work , they found the snook dead from when it jumped out of the water. I recently visit last week and found and addition of a red drum fish which I thought was salt water only. Theyre down to one tarpon instead of two. Also, there is an eel that comes out only during feeding. I still cant figure how the blue gill gets so big since the only diet is shiners.

  • In spite of the swim baits, the most success in these parts are live shiners for freshwater; fingermullets for snook and tarpons in saltwater; croakers, butterfish, sand perche, and pilchers for tarpons at sea. Diet varies on location. Near levees at high tide use large shrimps or fingermullet for snook. depending on conditions. this is ideal for sight fishing.

  • Yes, both tarpo and snook migrate to freshwater to spawn and then head back out to sea. They spend most of their live in brackish water near mangroves. Unfortunately they may not reach far inland due to man's consturction of levees and dams that are blocking their paths. All to common down here in Florida. The only open the floodgates when a hurricane is imminant or a major tropical storm. Even the gators get through.

  • hey, what fish are in the tank in Charlottes?

  • No, this is in Ft.Lauderdale.
