I ain't 'merican folk, 'n' I consider CCR to be a great band. Don''t think ya have to be 'merican to like the band, ya know. Or to dislike it. Shitty tastes are universal. One thing I think I know is, when you insult people who say shit 'bout a great band ya like, ya just comfort 'em in their certainties. Maybe the guy jus' need to grow older. Being unable to like CCR is punishment enough, ya shoul' pity the man.

First off, alcohol is a drug my friend, and one of the most toxic and lethal ones too, do your research, its not me saying but the UN and specialists. Second, yes they did drugs, not only alcohol but as any group in the 60s of the counter-culture, they experimented with psychedelics and used marijuana very often, so often that they wrote a song about it called "Proud Mary", what you thought "Proud Mary keep on burnin'" meant?!
