according to scripture (Gen. chap 50 to be exact) Jacob and his 12 sons already lived in modern day Israel but they went down into Egypt after Joseph managed to become a major player their. Joseph sent for his family and they went, even though Jacob didn't want to, because God told Jacob that he and his family would once again return to their homeland. Good comment...but not exactly right. See Jews were like nomads roaming the whole area of the Middle East without any kind of fixed kingdom, territory or power. The Kananites & the Phillistines as kingdoms were living in That area called Kanaan, which wasn't called Israel till The Jews managed to build a Kingdom there for the first time under King David. God gave them the land because they beleived in him & took it from them when they disobeyed like any other nation. it isn't their land exactly

thanks for the correction. Abraham was told by God to go live in the land of Canaan for his seed would possess that land. I wanted to state that early but was side tracked. But since God told them to live their, it is rightfully their land. when they went to war with the people of Canaan (Joshua), they were only taking back what God gave to them in the first place. Noticed how the Jews didn't want a huge empire like other nations, just the exact land that God gave them.

Notice you said the seed of Abraham. Many evangilists & Jews consider Issac the only ligitimate seed of Abraham yet God clearly mentioned in the scriptures that Ismael's nation is also Abraham's seed & they are also blessed. Anyway, the point here is God gives land & God takes it...it isn't our decision. God took the land from the Jews for 1900 years & it isn't up to them to claim it back!! Somebody else lived there for 1900 years & they established a good claim for the land for that!!

@delagrazia how can it be the holy spirit when it was already there? Jesus says if he goes then the comforter shall come but if does not go then he shall not send the comforter. It doesn't make sense to refer the comforter to the holy spirit if the holy spirit was already there when Jesus is saying this.

Our messenger and Lords servant Jesus Christ said in the bible, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you" Bible -John Chapter 16 Verse 7. The comforter Jesus is referring to is Muhammad Peace be upon him. Islam is the truth the light. Seek the truth and the truth shall set you free.
