This is the first successful flight of my modified Trex 450 with onboard FLIP camera. I used a simple low voltage wall box to mount the camera to the frame. I was getting considerable wobble and thought it was the flymentor settings, but all it needed was a higher rotor speed. The vibration in the video is minimal! Please comment if you like this video!

  • @dparrish1965, I don't know if you can see it in the beginning of the vid, but there is a AA battery zip tied to the tail boom to balance things out. It seems to work. I am sure I get less battery life, but the whole heli tends to be a lot more stable when it's heavier.

  • Thanks for the video. I'm actually thinking of doing the same thing with the Flip cam. Do you think the 450 can do liftoff with the camera straight out of the box, or do you need other stuff like that stabilizer you mentioned?

  • That made me take a shit too ! Clear video . Bet that was one nose heavy bird.
