Yeah it's crazy how much larger the 1700 is! I purchased the 1700 in non working condition for a lot less than what I paid for the 1200 but price wise the 1200 does all you need...the vid really shows no justice the 1700 is way too much, too fast since you know the general idea with fog is to intensify the beams not to smother everyone and make it where you can't see. I have never used the 1700 on a gig and to be honest probably won't. But it's great for a very large club or outdoor.
