Ya'll do realize this whole album is a joke, right? I thought it was pretty obvious, but people don't seem to get it....

maybe your just 10 years older now. maybe cuomos intention is to help a certain age group of kids through certain times in their live, maybe like the kids 10 years younger than you. maybe hes doing whatever it takes to make sure they can relate to the music hes making and not something that sounds 10 years old

I'm only 18. And yes, that is a valid viewpoint. But honestly, how is Rivers making anything that can help kids in their lives? Unless kids nowadays are really that homogenized. He is not making heartfelt music anymore. Seemingly with no emotion or creativity, at least at the level he once had. I'm sure the feelings he wrote about 15 years are still felt by people today. So that's really no excuse.

its just not heartfelt to you. im 19, i gave guitar and drum lessons at a school of rock last year and one of the main songs every 8-13 year old kid wanted to learn was that beverly hills song. i dont care for the music rivers puts out anymore, but he achieved what i would like to think he set out to do with his music for me already, i dont need the new albums, they arent for me, i dont need to complain b/c theres other music out there, and cuomo has already helped me, its a new generations turn

do you know why rivers is famous? ego. thats it and thats all. if you there to be good music in the world, go home and pick up a guitar, practise for a year, and then think about that one chick you knew in gr 10 who liked you but you were too struck dumb by her to realise it. then pluck and fret adn sing and try to let her know that you were there as much as she was, and thats art. bingo u can make ur own rock music u dont need him, rivers has gotta live his own life and sing his own shit

have you even listened to ANY weezer songs? their first album was about being losers. rivers wrote these songs because his self-esteem was so low but he still has confidence in his ability. i've never known an artist to work has hard as rivers cuomo and he's got a shitload more talent than artists these days.

ego does not = self-esteem in fact its often an exact opposite. being a loser.., well the key difference is that they are not bitter songs. rivers was hoping that very paritcular people will be listening to that album thats what im saying man i.m.o. thats mostly what art is its a way of telling people things that due to ur low self-esteem you think you cant just walk up and say to them. its all about the ppl you know they inspire you and they motivate you.
