www.ProGuitarShop.com-The T-Rex Spin Doctor is a new programmable guitar preamp/overdrive pedal. The Spin Doctor gives you four preset channels of all tube overdrive. Each channel has its own control for Bass, Mid, and Treble as well as adjustments for gain, presence, and even a boost switch. The presets can be switched on the fly or bypassed for clean tone. Here's the fun part, the T-Rex Spin Dr. features motorized knobs! When you switch presets the knobs move to the settings of the preset. This not only looks sweet but it gives you a visual reference of where your settings are so you can tweak accordingly. No more guesswork on how much midrange was dialed in.
Talk about overdrive, the Spin Dr. has got it! Anything you want from really mild break up to screaming boosted leads. The Tone controls are very interactive and let you dial in any sound you could possibly need. You can actually switch from SRV, to Kerry King, to Zakk Wylde, to Brian May...all on the fly! Or set up two channels of the same drive, one with the boost on for your solo tone. The T-Rex Spin Doctor is the most flexible overdrive pedal on the planet. The overdrive is sweet and warm thanks to the two 12AX7 tubes and responds like a high quality amplifier to picking dynamics and volume knob adjustments.

The Spin Doctor can also be used as a preamp for recording. It features a built in cabinet simulator for direct recording with a level adjustment and a Frequency knob to adjust the character of your simulated cabinet. You can also store additional presets in another MIDI compatible device and load them in a flash when you need them.

The TRex Spin Doctor is possibly the most versatile overdrive tool ever made for guitar. Sure some other companies give you more options, but the Spin Doctor gives you one thing they don't. Actual overdrive, not "models" of overdrive. Nothing sounds better than the real thing and the Spin Doctor is the real thing.

  • WAY overpriced!

  • Expensive maybe but not necessarily overpriced. What would four high quality overdrives and a switching system cost you?

  • Sounds great for rock....but I never understood how you can rate the pedal, when the "clean" signal isn't clean...

  • £429 omg

  • Cool video ... couple questions ... is there a way to reset to factory default? Also there were complaints that early ones sounded trebly/harsh. Trex made some mods based on feedback ... is this a simple change of tubes or other? Thanks ....

  • Im a beginner and im not very good with fancy stuff...i don't understand much.

But if you guys watching this don't mind, would this run only plugged in a cabinet or i would need the head of the cabinet anyway?

Im not sure what is a pre amp...

  • I got mine for half price used which still makes it the most expensive pedal I own but it was well worth the investment. Look at it this way... how much would a tube amp and a mic for that tube amp cost you? How much more convenient would this thing be?

  • NIce demo! Various tone controls, but obviously not very efficient, so the sound remains basicallly the same: agressive that doesn't mellow down.

  • @steffenbrix I like to use drives in a not 100% clean amp, so a little gain from the amp and more from the pedal. So this is an excelent way to rate the pedal, atleast for me, you still hear what the pedal adds...

  • hey

  • I AM ONLY GETTING THIS TO SEE THE KNOBS MOVE

  • Great pedal, many controls, very nice sound!

  • motorized knobs is a cool idea. but a simple lcd screen would've suffice.
