  • This is not from "Nostromo", so the title of the video should be changed. The music is from "Per le antiche scale" and "L'eredita ferramonti". Still, thanks for uploading, it's an extraordinary performance of two extraordinary themes.

If anyone has the actual "Nostromo" suite or the "Icaro secondo" piece, from this concert, I'd love to see it, as no one appears to have uploaded them yet.

  • @plindboe Thank you for clarifying that, I wasn't familiar with this music so had to take a stab from the programme.

  • I know Ennio because my father plays the violin in his orchestra! my father played in this concert....I love Morricone......

  • can't believe its over a year now, took my 10 year old daughter to see this, spent most of the evening in tears as it was just astounding

  • @plindboe did he perform the nostromo suite on this occation? wonderful!!!!!

  • @pelliciaccia I do agree... :-)

  • morricone is a star and so humble as well. at least by him we can have a good reputatiuon abroad. stefano

  • How this man has not won an oscar is unbelievable, like 'the magnificent seven' theme not winning the oscar in 1960/1. i have all his C Ds etc and could not afford to go to the royal albert hall, but maybe one day i might be able to. music plays a massive part in films, and sometimes people remember certain songs/themes but not the film. The new restored version of 'The good, the bad , and the ugly is fantastic with a superb documentry.

  • i was there and it was stunning, sublime, outstanding and the quality of sound was impeccable. never thought it could be that perfect. the musicians were just great. the advantage of having always the same musicians (i knew most of them from other youtube performances) was not ignorable. is there anything who should be criticised? i don't think so, just excellent and memorable. and after this evening i can really say, i'm a happy man. people, enjoy life, because life is beautiful. GRAZIEEE ENNIO

  • I booked two tickets to see this concert on the spur of the moment. I took a good friend of mine along and we found it utterly incredible! It was very touching to see lots of couples at key moments putting their arms round each other, holding hands and smiling - enjoying a moment of pure pleasure together. I felt very honoured to be there. x
