"We're starting to come together, starting to figure it out," Edgewater coach Matt Turner said. "I don't think our kids knew how good that team was until we got done."

The Eagles advance to a semifinal vs. Fort Pierce Central (6-2), which topped Hagerty (6-4) in double-overtime.

Lake Highland Prep (5-3) stopped a six-game winning streak by DeLand (6-2) and will play Vero Beach (6-2) in Tuesday's second semifinal.

  • Austin Rivers greatest weakness is HE HAS NO LEFT !!!!!

  • How did they shut him down? It still looks to me like Austin scored 25-30. I would call shutting him down less than 15.

  • I guess shut down is now synonymous with dominating(42 points)!

  • He has a left hand now.....I just watched his a Duke highlights and he can finish with the LEFT!

  • If that's shut down, I wanna get shut down every game.

  • title is misleading................

  • @ImSoPeeved he scored 42...says in the description atleast

  • I guess you're another Austin Rivers Haters. Damn dude he is what like 18 years old and you haten on a young dude trying to do his own thing.

  • you can't say the words shut down. When you say shut down you make it seem like he didn't score or scored very little. If you look at the clips most of the lay ups or drives to the basket River makes, the defensive player ends up looking like complete ass. The whole team comes to help and they all get dropped off. if you hit 5 to 6 Three pointers, is that really shut down? I don't think so.

  • I don't understand how you say he got shut down when he put up 38......???? That don't seem like a shut down too me!!!

  • wen da austin rivers thing poped up i knew he was going off lol

  • sarcastic......(austin rivers talking) oh yeah they shut me down i only scored 30 points.....lol
