90s was the decade in which Alternative Rock was Pop(ular), so its more of a genre classification than anything.

What an incredible band! SO amazing what these guys can do with just 2 guitars and their voices! This is possibly my favorite song/arrangment of Collective Soul!!

I swear Ed Roland must be one of the greatest singe/songwriters in music recording history. Tuneful, touching and brilliant. It's good to see Joel by his side.
