@skeetab5780 CONTinue ... Thanks for offer, is that 72v one you have a lot bigger than a Crystalyte controller? I might be interested in it, but it wouldn't be for a while. Can't wait to figure out what to get and then get eBike running. Need to save up some cash first though.

@skeetab5780 Hey cool. After some research at Endless-sphere I'm thinking a gearless hub motor like a Crystalyte or similar. I'm thinking maybe a Crystalyte controller actually, so no guessing on the hall sensor wires, I imagine they'd be color coded. I'm still not sure what to get or where to get it.

@skeetab5780 I've decided on a 60V 15AH V2.5 LiFePO4 Battery Pack from pingbattery.. Thinking maybe BMC V4-C Cruise-Speed- with the better gears and stronger internals. Not sure about controller though. Will be mounting on my Motobecane Fantom Trail DS from bikes direct. What's a good controller? Are you happy with the one on your 72v Motobecane? I'm 215lbs.. how fast and how far with that 60v settup do u think? Nice vids! Watching them all again.

scott, unles you ride it everyone is gonna hate you.
can you upgrade a standard bike to an ebike? I have a meran , I hate to buy an ebike when I have a perfectly good bike

@fastfreddieRRSS Yes absolutely, and it is actually recommended. Most electric bikes out there on the market are either junk made to be as cheap as possible or way too expensive to matter. Good luck on your build!

i actually have 2 controllers for sale if your interested. Both the 48v from in this picture and the 72v one from my other videos. I upgraded to a very expensive 200v controller. I recommend the Lyen controllers, otherwise maybe Crystalyte.

Very sweet bro, I got myself a electric scooter, 48v 500W that looks like a moped. Acid batteries but they hold up pretty good. Downside is that it weights about 200lbs and my 200lb that I weight add up to 400lb but incredibly it holds on just right. Gas is getting ridiculous expensive so e-biking is great. Too bad my state regulates speeds up to 20mph that is as it fast as it can go. Great built!

@rockerojuan thanks rocker! ya i end up rebuilding my bike every year to make it a little bit faster and a little bit lighter! it makes ebiking never ending fun. I have yet to be bothered by anyone going 30mph hopefully they wont bug me at 40mph either :)
