DC Universe Online - The Striker Z™ Way: The Art of Gadget Controlling

My second try at putting together a video is now up. After 36 total hours I can sit back and let everyone enjoy my labour of love. This is a 2-part series for my fellow Unlimited Knights league members who wanted each of us to teach how to play your role. Some people chose to write something, I chose to make a video. So thanks go out to the league founders for allowing me the opportunity to bring this idea to fruition.

I used AVS Video Editor (http://www.avs4you.com/) and would like to thank the developers for creating something to simple and easy to use. I did not get a chance to purchase the unlimited subscription, so I apologize for the annoying watermark.

I love music as it inspires creativity and evokes emotion. For that, I would first like to thank Steve Jablonsky for writing an incredible score for Michael Bay's Transformers. I had 2 other songs in mind for the intro, but my nephew said the Transformers one fit best. Second, I would also like to thank Pagan's Mind for creating an awesome song that sums up the theme of the Unlimited Knights and was my first choice for the credits. I would like to thank the movie Napoleon Dynamite for using the awesome Jamiroquai song "Canned Heat", which really should be the song for my fellow league member, Jolt. And i would also like to thank each record company for allowing me to use their artists' music for my "how to" video under the United States Copyright Act, Title 17, Sections 106 and 106A.

I have really enjoyed playing DCUO and I also would like to thank SOE, Warner Bros., and DC Comics for putting together something that I look forward to playing everyday when I get home from work. and allowing us, the fans, to post videos of their game.

I now use the Bow, but may try rifle as the buff to VIT and DOM is pretty good.

Hey Stryker, forgive me If I misheard, but you were saying "this gives a damage buff" wont Gauss Grenade, Defib, ect only give damage buffs to yourself if you are in the damage stance?

@homedjm: in the video I stated that you would see me use Defib and if I was in DPS Role it would increase my damage output by 35%. When you in the controller Role, Gauss grenade not only drops an enemy's defense (debuff), but it make them susceptible to damage from electrical attacks (damage buff) from anyone in the group. And yes, you are correct in saying that all those buff your damage output when in the DPS role.

to add to the aforementioned, Gauss also inflicts damage - same as Tazer Pull or Sticky Bomb. That's why they are such a great combo for Gadget Controllers when they solo.

Hey man, I really liked the video! I'm fresh into this game and I want to be the best of the best as being a Controller for my league with PVE. Right now I've been using two-handed for the vital boost it gives and also its range attack does heavy damage as if i were throwing huge crates. My only problem I keep running into is not having enough power. My gear is T1 Controller gear. Is there a weapon choice you could suggest to maximize my power feeding with defib?

@surdect LOL apparently you must suck as a fire tank, if you cant keep agro without power you must suck. don't blame healer then for not healing you then, since you want power. Also if you spam powers right away as a tank all in one blow. You must suck as a tank.

@bahumit12 satits field is also great it does dmg over tiem to others that u fight and also gives them a def debuff

@mouamaster as i said in my comment, i dont think the healers are the main priority in EVERY case, learn to read. say if tank doesnt keep up his buffs and aggro, 1 he wouldnt be doing his job and 2 boss/mob would go around killing everyone else. tank and healer should be top priority with dps being last, just saying if ur rolling with a fire tank especially, that the troller should be cautious as fire tank eat power like nothing

@surdect I guess you haven't ever play a healer, cause if they have no power tank will die. You probably must be a tank to not know this.
