A characteristic of Portland Oregon is that the downtown area is exceptionally clean, compared to other major cities I've been to. Included here are some scenes I shot of Pioneer Courthouse Square and the Saturday Market. Several microbreweries and the Burnside Skate Park are located around the downtown. Known as "The Rose City", Portland is the only American city that has an extinct volcano within its city limits.

  • What a great video and the music is perfect. Just the right kind of Portland vibe for my tastes.

  • very nice. Thumbs up

  • old video lol the saturday market isnt under the bridge anymore

  • Stay off max it's not safe

  • @MrHOOPER70 Yeah...wayyyy too many bums, and it's only getting worse.

  • Burnside and Stark street are named after businessmen...not military officers...I thought that sounded fishy so I looked it up. Benjamin Stark was a merchant and politician in Oregon, and Dan Burnside was a local businessman.

  • @n1starr Also I don't think Burnside, Stark, and the rest of those streets were named after military officers...haha.

  • ha ha we have tons more than one volcano, extinct or not... Uh, we have more than any city in the continental US (only Hawaii has more) and we are smack dab on top of the Boring Lava Field, so we have not just volcanoes but vent holes all over the place. Check it out. Don't forget our other famous volcanoes - Mt Hood, Mt Tabor, Mt Scott, list goes on. Plus we're on several earthquake faults, so the city is seismically not too safe..
