I've been asked a few times what I think of the PSP Go. As a happy PSP owner, and as someone who has no qualms with digital distribution, I actually don't have much interest in the Go. It's far too expensive for what you get: a PSP with a smaller screen and no UMD drive, and a missed opportunity to implement a second analog stick and/or a touch screen. Oh there's the 16 GB of flash memory, but I can't fathom where that's worth the cost of those other features, as well as the $80 premium (over a core PSP-3000). Sony already offers a variety of worthwhile PSP-3000 bundles that come with games, movies, memory sticks, download coupons, etc, for only $200. Considering the PSP-3000 can do everything the Go can do, and technically more, you're getting much more for less money. It's a no-brainer in my opinion.

I'll likely pick up the PSP Go in the future, but not until a significant price drop and hopefully some worthwhile bundles. As it stands though, there's no way I'll buy a PSP Go.

  • I'm so sick of this pspgo hate and psp3000 is better bullshit.I own both and hands down pspgo wins. I'm about to make a video on this topic.

  • @fabmed73 Any hate you found in this video is perceived due to a preconceived mindset. I didn't hate anything in this video.

  • Dude you are so cool

I subscribed and you make some great points here.

  • @MonsterrHunterr Thanks a lot!

  • @tvandlust Thanks for this video, your opinions completely turned my mind around. I had plans to buy a Go, but for now I've decided to save up for the new 32 GB Memory Stick that Sony has just released to use with my standard 3000.

  • @gullwing14 Glad I could help. :)

  • nooooooo i was gonna buy a psp go but you talked me out of it

  • no your wrong the psp go has skype and bluetooth which makes it better!!!

  • 8,888 views! And I can get a PSP 3000 or a PSP Go for $100. I'd rather get the PSP 3000.

  • I bought a psp go for 119.99 really cheap on ebay

  • i got one of ebay for 76.99

  • i can answer your psp go question. people buy psp go to hack the old firmware that comes with it. so it makes sense to just download games without umds. so it's a big money saver. and of course it's expensive. but in some way it's worth it. but to me not that exciting on the cost price.

  • What i heard was that the psp go was just basically a "demo" console to give people an overall idea if the coming psp 2 (ngp) because that relies on digital distribution also. But that was stating later than this video.

You still are right about though, and you are awesome :)

  • great channel. i'm subscribing.
