Top 10 teams that always CHOKE or never live up to expectations

My countdown of the 10 teams in professional team sports that always choke or fall short of expectations.

The Buffalo Bills got an honorable mention. The reason that they didn't make this list is because it's been a LONG TIME since they had GREAT TEAMS that choked or fell short of expectations.

The Carolina Panthers of the NFL is another team that could have made the list. They've fallen short of expectations atleast three times since their lone Superbowl appearance in February 2004.

The Philadelphia Eagles could have possibly made this list. However, if you look at the Eagles history, only two times in the past 10 years did they truly "choke" and get "upset" by a supposedly inferior team in the post-season....

1. The 2002 season, the Eagles got upset at home in the NFC championship game by the Bucs.

2. The 2003 season, the Eagles got upset at home in the NFC championship game by the Carolina Panthers.

All of their other playoff loses, I don't consider chokes or upsets, because they weren't necessarily head and shoulders above the teams that they lost to.

The Ottawa Senators of the NHL certainly could have made this list. They're historically notorious playoff choke artists.

Another NHL team that I could have certainly put on this list is the legendary Toronto Maple Leafs. They're one of the most proud franchises in NHL history, and yet they haven't hoisted the Stanley Cup since 1967. Unfortunately for the Maple Leafs, they don't even make it to the playoffs anymore, with their last playoff berth being in 2004. The Maple Leafs have been a mismanaged team for years.

The Washington Capitals got a few votes in the comments section, so I'll go ahead and give them an honorable mention.

I don't see how you couldn't put the LA Kings in this video. They have been a team for over 40 years, have had over 20 playoff appearances, and still don't have a cup. And same with the Canucks, and the Capitals. They all have been teams for 30+ years. But then you decide to put the sharks in there?? You should have thought about it more...

The Washington Capitals got an honorable mention 8 months ago when I made this video. It's not my fault that you can't read, dumbass. Secondly, I can only fit TEN teams in a Top 10 video. 

Furthermore, the L.A. Kings don't really "choke". Seriously, LOOK UP and LEARN the sports definition of the word "choke", because clearly you don't know what it means, you idiot.

@SharksEatDucks15 (continued) Just because a team makes it to the playoffs a lot, and haven't won a Stanley Cup, doesn't mean that they're "chokers" in sports. How many of those times were the Kings prohibitive favorites to win the Stanley Cup? How many of those times did the Kings blow a 3-1 series lead in the playoffs? How many of those times did the Kings get upset in the playoffs by a team that was very inferior to them?

Learn the fucking definition of a sports choke, dumbass.

@EagleKillerSince1960 the only 2 times (in the past 10 years) that the Eagles might have choked was the 2002 and 2003 seasons, when they lost the NFC title game with home field advantage against the Bucs and the Panthers, respectively. Other than that, the Eagles usually lose to better teams in the playoffs, or atleast teams that are just as good as them.

@spinnerNsports How is it a choke job when the Bucs DOMINATED that game? There Bucs defense suffocated Donovan McNabb and Brad Johnson/Coach Gruden were key in hitting the Eagles Blitz packages.

Eagles scored a TD on the opening drive with a good kick return, following that the Bucs defense only allowed a field goal. The Bucs were the better team ALL AROUND. Choke? not even close. There are AT LEAST three GUARANTEED hall of famers on that Bucs team.
