Fairplay to the bloke with the beard taking photos - there was always all sorts of people at punk gigs in the 70s - that's what was good about them.

The Adverts are always a good barometer of what 77 was really like as a lot of the other stuff is buried under mounds of myth & bollocks & Jonathan Ross type perception of what original punk was like.

Loud and raucous even by 21st century standards?

In fact... the fact that Punk was the last big cultural revolution to strike (and over 30 years ago!) is truly frightening. No wonder ZOMBIE films are so popular... That's what we've all become!

thanks ... there care some sync issues

Gaye Advert dresses up a lot like Joan Jett did when she was in the Runaways (another great band).

Actually, looks like it was the best time to be 21 !!

I still care as much about brand names as a did in the 70's an a wasnt born till the 90's,
remember making me own clothes and a trip to the army navy stores. that just left a trip to see mclaren and west wood when i come to London to see the clash and the wardrobe was complete. ah.. great days not two people dressed alike. not like today's clones in nylon track suits and white trainers . look regimented like an army of loyal servants to the big conglomerates and commercialization. what happened to free thought and individualism. nothing worse than a 30 something in a white track suit

you`re right, mate.i picked up my clothes at the local fleamarket for a few quid & made them up
with sawed on zippers & sprayed on paroles.
that was the great thing w/punk in the `70`s -
nobody gave a rat`s arse about brands & labels.
