there is nothing funny about that. i'm a puller and i can't explain to you how dangerous it is to have that happen.

in 2007 one driver was killed in exactly the same scenario in the UK.

Since that, EU sleds need to have front ends to withstand the impact of the box (with certification of an independent engineer) along with adequate and certified shock absorbers and a computer system on board, which automatically pulls the kill switch if the box doesn't move forward in the right speed.

Use of sleds without those safety features in case of any harm to the driver is considered "reckless action" of the promoter

25 years ago we required the sled brakes to be able to stop the tractors and operator to be able to kill the tractors engine if something went wrong. In this case the sled operator could have shut down the tractor as soon as he noticed the weight box wasn't moving.

Tractor Pulling is little more then a ton of money poured into a glorified penis measuring contest, Im glad you very clever guys hold it in the esteem you do. Im guessing you also find watching cars drive in circles for hundreds of miles at a time interesting? AKA nascar?
