These kids are great. I used to play this tune (and others by the awesome Neal Hefti) back when I was in high school in the seventies. We were damn good -- but these kids may rock even harder. Great vid!

I wonder why such a miracle emerged at this very ordinary public high school? And why they disappeared? BFJOs in 2010 or around seem not so miraculous for me as those of 2007 or around.

I love the BFJO. Because itshows what dedication to your chosen Art form can do. These kids have reached an excellence at such a tender age that I have ever seen.

Having had a longtime friendship with Neal since, 1958, can assure you that he is "smiling and happy" having heard this band. Great!!!! I miss Neal very much. The last time that we spent together, was at Marty Paich's funeral, several years ago.
